Ralph Foster is an editor specialising in Animation and VFX editing.

He has worked as a VFX editor on live actions feature films such as A Boy Called Christmas directed by Gil Kenan & Dora and the Lost City of Gold directed by James Bobin.

He was an Editor on Wes Anderson's stop motion animated feature film Isle of Dogs released in early 2018. He was the editor at 3 Mills Studios during the 2 year long shoot working under Supervising Editor Andrew Weisbblum and with the animatic created by editor Edward Burch and storyboard artist Jay Clarke. Also Editor on Fantastic Mr Fox, another feature length stop motion film Directed by Wes Anderson alongside Editor Stephen Perkins and under Supervising editor Andrew Weisblum

Whilst working at Laika Entertainment studios in Portland Oregon, USA, he was an Additional Editor on Missing Link directed by Chris Butler, edited by Stephen Perkins. Also Additional Editor on The Boxtrolls directed by Graham Annable & Anthony Stacchi, edited by Edie Ichioka and Associate Editor on ParaNorman directed by Chris Butler & Sam Fell, the Senior Editor was Christopher Murrie.

Previously he was 1st Assistant Editor on the live action feature Hannibal Rising aka Young Hannibal Directed by Peter Webber and edited by Pietro Scalia and Valerio Bonnelli.

He worked as 1st Assistant Editor on the stop motion animated feature film Tim Burton's Corpse Bride Directed by Mike Johnson, edited by Chris Lebenzon and Jonathan Lucas during 2004-2005 at 3 Mills Studios. This was possibly the first feature length stop motion animation to be shot digitally and edited in FCP and Avid Media Composer.
